Admissions |
Application for admission to both the MATCH Middle School and the MATCH High School for the Fall of 2008 is now closed. The MATCH School held lotteries on March 12th for both the MATCH Charter Public Middle School for students entering 6th grade in the fall of 2008, and the MATCH Charter Public High School for students entering 9th grade in the fall of 2008. For more information on each of the lotteries, see the appropriate section below.
MATCH Charter Public Middle School Lottery
We have accepted the first 93 students whose names were drawn to enter the 6th grade in the fall of 2008. We will be contacting these families in the days following the lottery, and these families should ensure that we have the correct contact information on file. A letter and form will be mailed to the families of these students that must be returned to the school by March 22nd. Orientation will occur in May. The students whose names were not one of the first 93 drawn will be placed onto one of two waitlists.
The first waitlist is comprised of those students who are likely to be offered admission. We have no history on which to base this on, but from our experience with high school lotteries, it is reasonable to believe that students whose names were drawn 94th-164th may be offered admission later this year if admitted students move or change their plans.
The second waitlist is comprised of those students whose names were drawn 165th or later in the lottery. It is highly unlikely that these students will be offered admission. We regret that we do not have a greater capacity, and wish all of these students the best as they pursue their studies elsewhere. MATCH Charter Public High School Lottery
We have accepted the first 70 students whose names were drawn to enter the 9th grade in the fall of 2008. We will be contacting these families in the days following the lottery, and these families should ensure that we have the correct contact information on file. A letter and form will be mailed to the families of these students that must be returned to the school by March 22nd. Orientation will occur in May. The students whose names were not one of the first 70 drawn will be placed onto one of two waitlists.
The first waitlist is comprised of those students who are likely to be offered admission. In our history, we have admitted students off of the waitlist through the first 140 students, so it is reasonable to believe that students whose names were drawn 71st-140th may be offered admission later this year as admitted students move or change their plans.
The second waitlist is comprised of those students whose names were drawn 141st or later. It is highly unlikely that these students will be offered admission. We regret that we do not have a greater capacity, and wish all of these students the best as they pursue their studies elsewhere.
