Kelly Albrecht | Recruitment Manager
Mrs. Albrecht is originally from New Hampshire. She has a Bachelor's degree from Saint Anselm College and a Master's degree from Boston University School of Education. She is passionate about serving students and families on their path to educational success and beyond. She is looking forward to finding the next generation of teachers for the Match community. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, volunteering, and spending time with her family. Prior to joining Match, Mrs. Albrecht served as the Director of Student Services for Breakthrough Greater Boston. She has also served in various educational roles at two separate charter schools focusing on family engagement, academic mentoring, and student services. Her career in education started with higher education recruitment at Saint Anselm College.
MIRTHA ARIAS | PAYROLL AND BENEFITS COORDINATOR
Ms. Arias is originally from the Dominican Republic, but grew up in Boston. She is a Match High School alum and a graduate of Smith College with a BA in Economics. Prior to joining the Business Office team at Match, she spent many years working in the medical field. Ms. Arias brings a wide range of finance and administrative experience from a number of organizations, including Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Brigham and Women's Hospital. She also enjoys tutoring kids in various subjects; during her high school years at Match, she tutored at the summer academy for two years.
Ayobami Ariwodola | Director of Network Operations
Ms. Ariwodola was born in Nigeria but moved to New York City in her early teens. She attended University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where she earned a degree in Biological Sciences. Upon graduation, she decided to accept the opportunity to work at Match as a tutor. Her experiences that year sparked her interest in School Operations.
Jennifer Berylson Block | General Counsel
Ms. Block joined Match in March 2012 as the General Counsel. Previously, she worked at the law firm of Goodwin Procter LLP from 2005-2012, as a member of the Private Equity group, primarily focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate governance matters and the representation of early-and later-stage growth companies. She also represented a large number of not-for-profit clients and played a large role in the firm's pro bono initiatives. Ms. Block received her B.A. from Williams College in 2001 and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2005. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
Sheri Cheng | Director of Data Management
Ms. Cheng has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Ocean Engineering from MIT, and a Masters in Business Administration from Boston University. She started her career in education as an algebra teacher at East Boston High School and as a 7th grade science teacher at Roxbury Prep Mission Hill. After receiving her MBA, she worked in edtech startups at the LearnLaunch campus in downtown Boston. Most recently, she has served on the operations team as a Director of Technology and Director of Special Projects at Roxbury Prep High School. When she is not staring at spreadsheets for work or for fun, Ms. Cheng enjoys singing, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Chris Correa | Recruitment Manager
Mr. Correa began his career working with the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, where he served as the Assistant Director of a program that focused on helping young men cope with substance abuse and addiction. Prior to joining Match Education, Mr. Correa served as the Director of Admission and Recruitment for City Year Boston, where he coordinated their recruitment efforts, increased brand awareness and managed community and collegiate partnerships. Mr. Correa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cambridge College.
Richard Dragon | Controller
Mr. Dragon is a Boston native who has been a CPA since 1992. Mr. Dragon is a 1990 graduate of Bryant University. His practical accounting and auditing background comes from working in the Providence office of Ernst and Young LLP from 1991 to 1995, and at a local Providence firm from 1995 to 1997. He then became self-employed in order to self-publish a book on R.I. history and remained on his own until becoming involved with Boston charter schools in 2004.
MARIA FIGUEROA | ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Seree Fofana | IT Manager
Ms. Fofana is from Boston, MA. She graduated from Simmons College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Before joining Match, Ms. Fofana taught preschool and prekindergarten at the M.I.T David H. Koch Technology Childcare Center. Previously, she worked as a technology assistant for five years in the Information Technology Department at Simmons College.
TOVA GOLDRING | DEPUTY GENERAL COUNSEL
Prior to joining Match, Ms. Goldring was an associate at Goodwin Procter and was a member of the tax department. She has also worked as an attorney for Yal-Day-New Daycare Center and she was a paralegal at The Kraft Group before attending law school. Ms. Goldring earned her BA in politics from Brandeis University (Summa Cum Laude) in 2005 and her JD from Harvard Law School in 2010.
Valerie Inniss | Recruitment Operations Manager
Tobey Jackson | Chief Talent Officer
Mr. Jackson is originally from Providence, RI. He has a Bachelor's degree from Brown University and a Master's degree from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education. After teaching middle school science and math in independent schools, Mr. Jackson joined Boston Collegiate Charter School as a founding science teacher. He later served as the school's middle school director/principal for seven years. Most recently, Mr. Jackson has been an educational consultant, including working with Boston Collegiate Charter School and Match on facility acquisition and renovation.
Rachel Johnson | Director of Records and Enrollment
Ms. Johnson is a New Jersey native who graduated from Rutgers University with a concentration in Sociology and Anthropology. Ms. Johnson moved to Boston in 2011 and has been at Match ever since! In her free time Ms. Johnson enjoys spending time with family, playing ultimate with friends and taking long, meandering walks through the Arnold Arboretum with her dog.
Yaovi jondoh | Network Facilities Manager
Michael Kerr | Deputy Executive Director
Mr. Kerr is a Massachusetts native and has been an educator since 2008. After teaching at an independent school, Mr. Kerr helped launch UP Academy Boston, a turnaround school in South Boston, where he co-led the school as its Director of Operations. He also has held diverse leadership roles in a number of other Charter Management Organizations, including YES Prep and Achievement First. Mr. Kerr holds a BS in History from Stonehill College and an MAT from the Smith College.
Katharine Needham | Managing Director of Academic Leadership
Ms. Needham holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University in anthropology, a Masters degree in Education from the University of New Orleans, and is a certified literacy specialist. Before Match she was a Teach For America corps member in New Orleans, Louisiana. She taught second grade for three years at Andrew Wilson Charter School, and first grade for two years at Success Preparatory Academy. Ms. Needham completed the Lynch Leadership Academy Fellowship at Boston College, She was also formerly a Corps Member Adviser at Teach For America's summer institute, and a seminar leader for The New Teacher Project. Ms. Needham also served as the Principal at Match Community Day for four years.
Amy Shatten | Finance Manager
Ms. Shatten holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, a Master of Accounting from Rutgers University, and CPA and CFE licenses. Prior to joining Match, she worked in the forensic accounting and audit practices at Deloitte & Touche and as a senior examiner at FINRA. Outside of Match, she enjoys traveling, volunteering, watching classic movies, walking around Boston, and cheering for the Michigan Wolverines.
Michael Soremekun | IT Manager
Mr. Soremekun was born and raised here in Boston, Ma. He attended Northeastern University where he majored in Business Management with a concentration in Management Information Systems. He enjoys the unique challenges encountered in the education sector. It is fulfilling to know that he is positively impacting the learning of Match students. He enjoys going on cruises.
Emily Stainer | Chief Academic Officer
Ms. Stainer joined Match to support school leaders in delivering exceptional student outcomes. She came to Match Public Charter School to be part of building an exceptional pre-K to 12th grade experience for Boston students. Prior to that she worked at UP Education Network developing programming and instructional coaches for six turnaround schools in Massachusetts. Ms. Stainer previously served as the Head of School for Alma del Mar Charter School in New Bedford, MA. She started her education career at Citizen Schools in 2002 through the National Teaching Fellowship program and then served in variety of local, regional and national team roles. She has also served youths at City Year Columbia and the Swearer Center for Public Service at Brown University. She graduated from Brown University and later earned a Masters of Education from Lesley University.
David Steefel-Moore | Director of Network Operations
Mr. Steefel-Moore is an Operations Director in the Central Office. Prior to joining Match's Operations team, he worked in a variety of roles related to education reform, public health, and political advocacy, and was a member of Match Corps IX at Match High School. He holds a B.A. from Carleton College and an Ed.M from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Ashley Danoff Sweeny | Director of Grants and Compliance
Ms. Sweeny graduated from New York University in 2002 with a B.A. in International Relations, Italian, French, and Japanese. She also received a M.A. in Sociology of Education from Boston University in 2004. Ms. Sweeny was a member of Match Corps 1 at the Match High School.
Dan Turco | Special Education Coordinator
Mr. Turco graduated from Fairfield University and began his life in the classroom as a Fulbright English teacher in Germany. After he returned, he taught special education at Community School 211 in the Bronx, NY as a Teach for America Corps member. While teaching in New York, he received his master's degree from Hunter College in special education. Before coming to Match in 2013, Mr. Turco was a learning specialist at KIPP Academy Middle School.
Nnenna Ude | Executive director
Ms. Ude is a Boston native who attended Boston Latin School and then Dartmouth College. While at Dartmouth, she majored in Psychology and devoted a significant amount of her time to advancing minority recruitment initiatives. Ms. Ude began her work at Match in 2012 as Director of Operations at Match's middle school. Prior to being appointed Executive Director of Match's PreK-12 school in December 2017, Ms. Ude worked as the COO of the full school. She considers it a privilege to be able to serve students and families from her city and is committed to helping Match's students succeed in and out of the classroom.
Additionally, Ms. Ude serves as the unpaid President and CEO of The Match Foundation, Inc. and The Charles Sposato Graduate School of Education, Inc., overseeing the staff and all programming in those entities.
