Match corps: Cohort XV
Ms. Afon grew up in Grayson, GA. She attended Cornell University, where she studied Psychology, Global Health, and Creative Writing. She is excited to join the efforts to close the education gap in Boston. She enjoys writing, reading, cooking, traveling, and napping. She has worked with Cornell's Office of Visitor Relations, where she gave campus tours.
Ms. DuBois grew up in southeast Massachusetts. She attended the UMass Amherst, majoring in Public Health Sciences and minoring in Biology and Psychology. She is looking forward to working with the wonderful students and faculty at Match. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to concerts, or watching Netflix. She has previously worked at the Boys and Girls Club of Fall River and its sister summer camp.
Ms. Gammino is from East Greenwich, Rhode Island. She attended Keene State College and completed a dual degree in Holocaust and Genocide Studies and Sociology. Ms. Gammino is looking forward to helping students achieve. She enjoys going to the beach, reading, and traveling. She previously interned in Cape Town, South Africa, at a human rights organization.
Ms. Keister grew up in Gainesville, FL. She attended the University of Florida, majoring in Anthropology with minors in Geography and Family, Youth and Community Sciences. She is excited about this new adventure of getting to know Boston and the Match family. She likes to play with animals, be in nature, watch movies, and try new foods.
Mr. Koshi grew up in Japan and South Korea. He graduated from the University of California San Diego with a degree in Biochemistry. This school year, he is looking forward to work and live in Boston. In his free time, he likes to travel and go to the gym. Prior to Match, he worked as a teacher's assistant for several biology courses.
Ms. Krayacich is originally from Canada but she grew up in New Jersey. She attended Amherst College where she studied French and Psychology. She is looking forward to meeting new people and exploring Boston. She likes to read, play squash, and be outside. She has worked as an assistant teacher in a public school in Harlem.
Mr. Rashidi was born in the Bay Area, California, and has called it home all his life. He went to Pomona College in Claremont, California, and majored in Economics. He is looking forward to meeting all the students and starting his career as a teacher. He likes to run, listen to music, watch basketball, and hang out with friends. He has worked at various summer camps in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas.
Mr. Revelle is from Columbia, MD. He attended Towson University where he studied Sociology. He is looking forward to learning and developing as a teacher. He enjoys writing, watching movies, swimming, and playing board games. Before Match, he worked with adults seeking ESL tutoring.
Ms. Schleif grew up in Shakopee, Minnesota, a suburb just south of Minneapolis. She attended the College of Saint Benedict where she studied Communication and Psychology. She is looking forward to getting to know and work with the students at Match. She loves hiking, biking, or exploring. She previously worked for a nonprofit organization in the Twin Cities.
Miss Bridget Serpe grew up in Long Island, NY. She went to UMass Amherst and studied sociology and psychology, with certificates in criminology and social work. She is looking forward to helping students understand, not memorize, their work. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her friends and family. Prior to Match, she worked for a law firm with Geico Insurance.
Ms. Um was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. She studied English and Music at Boston College. She is looking forward to connecting with others in a supportive and fruitful environment. She enjoys reading novels and memoirs, running, and walking her exceptionally small dog. Prior to Match she has worked with various professors of English and professional cellists.
Mr. Victoroff grew up in Los Angeles (Pacific Palisades). He went to Dartmouth College where he studied Materials Engineering. He is looking forward to learning how individual teachers can best address the achievement gap. In his free time he does yoga, plays tennis, reads and writes! He previously worked at McKinsey & Company.
Mr. Yoho is originally from Cleveland, OH. He attended Boston College, where he graduated with a degree in Management & Leadership. He is looking forward to working with students one-on-one while studying at Charles Sposato Graduate School of Education. He enjoys exploring the city, cooking, reading, and playing with his dogs. He was previously a teaching assistant for Business Ethics, in college, and has tutored K-8 students for 8 years.
