Ayobami Ariwodola | Director of Special Projects

Ms. Ariwodola attended University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where she earned a degree in Biological Sciences. Upon graduation, she came to Match as a Match Corps Fellow and worked with Match Middle School students. Her experiences that year sparked her interest in School Operations.

Gustavo Bendezu I Finance Manager

Mr. Bendezu grew up in Boston. He attended Newbury College and has a bachelor's degree in accounting. Prior to Match, he worked at Boston Private where he was responsible for the financial close cycle. He loves to exercise, dance, and read.

Sheri Cheng | Director of Data Management

Ms. Cheng has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Ocean Engineering from MIT, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Boston University. She started her career in education as an algebra teacher at East Boston High School and as a 7th grade science teacher at Roxbury Prep Mission Hill. After receiving her MBA, she worked in edtech startups at the LearnLaunch campus in downtown Boston. Prior to Match, she served on the operations team as a Director of Technology and Director of Special Projects at Roxbury Prep High School. When she is not staring at spreadsheets for work or for fun, Ms. Cheng enjoys singing, traveling, and spending time with her family.


Nicole Corneau I Literacy Curriculum Specialist

Ms. Corneau grew up in Rhode Island. She has worked in Massachusetts schools in Lynn, Salem, and Boston and has developed a love and passion for Elementary Literacy. Ms. Corneau earned her B.A. in Elementary Education from Saint Michael's College and her M.Ed. from Lesley University in the Language and Literacy program. She wants to drive equitable and enriching Literacy instruction at Match, so our students can thrive both in school and as citizens of the world.

Richard Dragon | Controller

Mr. Dragon is a Boston native who has been a CPA since 1992. Mr. Dragon is a graduate of Bryant University. His practical accounting and auditing background comes from working in the Providence office of Ernst and Young LLP from 1991 to 1995, and at a local Providence firm from 1995 to 1997. He then became self-employed in order to self-publish a book on R.I. history and remained on his own until becoming involved with Boston charter schools in 2004.

GENEVIEVE DUSING | DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS

Ms. Dusing grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. She joined Match in 2012 as a member of Match Corps IX at the Match High School, where she served as a math tutor, a Spanish teaching assistant, and a coordinator for the end-of-the-year class trips. She also was a founding coach of the high school girls' soccer team, and since then has coached soccer and basketball at the elementary school and boys’ soccer at the high school.

Ms. Dusing graduated from Boston College in 2012 with a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Hispanic Studies. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, running, reading, and traveling.


Simone Miles I Director of New Teacher Development

Ms. Miles Esteves, a lifelong Bostonian, is an educator of children and adults whose work is framed by the values of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice. Her craft was honed over 16 years in middle school history classrooms, overlapping administrative experiences, and most importantly as a lifelong learner. In preparation to be an educator, she studied Africana Studies and Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston before going on to study Teaching and Curriculum at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her excitement for teaching is centered around finding rich pathways to teaching the “hard stuff,” facilitating understanding of the connections between societal systems and individual experiences, as well as helping to strengthen relationships among various members of a community. 

Ms. Miles Esteves has facilitated a number of introspective and affirming workshops for groups ranging from preteens to more seasoned adults which all aim to support experiences of social justice, equity, and personal joy. In her personal life, she loves belly laughing with friends and family, intellectually stimulating conversation, reading, live music, traveling, culturally inclusive trivia, and karaoke… just because she can’t sing doesn’t mean she won’t sing… and loudly too!

Glory Fleurio I Recruitment Manager

Ms. Fleurio grew up in Boston. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Master's Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing. Prior to Match, she worked as a liaison and advocate for children and families. She loves being a mom, cooking, eating, working out, and painting.


Seree Fofana | IT Manager

Ms. Fofana is from Boston. She graduated from Simmons College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Before joining Match, Ms. Fofana taught preschool and prekindergarten at the M.I.T David H. Koch Technology Childcare Center. Previously, she worked as a technology assistant for five years in the Information Technology Department at Simmons College. 


Jessica Goldberg I Network Director of Language Acquisition

Ms. Goldberg was born and raised in Boston. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Education Studies from Skidmore College. She also holds a Master’s degree in Education from Lesley University’s reading specialist program. Prior to Match, Ms. Goldberg taught 6th grade English at Roxbury Prep Charter School for six years. In her spare time, she loves to read, cook, and spend time with friends and family.

Tobey Jackson | Chief Talent Officer

Mr. Jackson joined Match in 2010 and was the Chief Academic Officer for five years before transitioning into staff recruitment. Prior to Match, Mr. Jackson was a teacher and school leader at Boston Collegiate Charter School, and he also worked as an educational consultant. Mr. Jackson has a Bachelor's degree from Brown University and a Master's degree from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education.

ALEXIS JOHNSON I Managing Director of Grades 6-12

Ms. Johnson’s education journey began at Match High School when she was an AmeriCorps service member and tutor in Match Corps III. After earning her Master of Arts in Teaching and then lead-teaching middle and high school Literacy courses in Roxbury and Brooklyn, Ms. Johnson served as a Dean of Students and then as Founding Principal within the Coney Island Prep network of schools. Upon her return to Boston, she served as Match High School's Corps Director and then as Interim Principal in the 2019-2020 school year. She is proud of the work Match Education is doing to center our students and their families.

Tyrone Johnson I HR Manager

Mr. Johnson was born and raised in Boston. He attended Franklin Institute of Technology where he studied Computer Engineering Technology. Prior to Match, he worked on a Special Education team at Boston Public Schools. In his free time, he loves going to the movies and traveling.

Michael Kerr | Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Kerr is a Massachusetts native and has been an educator since 2008. After teaching at an independent school, Mr. Kerr helped launch UP Academy Boston, a turnaround school in South Boston, where he co-led the school as its Director of Operations. He also has held diverse leadership roles in a number of other charter management organizations, including YES Prep and Achievement First. Mr. Kerr holds a BS in History from Stonehill College and an MA in teaching from the Smith College.

Eileen Moreta I Match More Manager

Ms. Moreta grew up in Brighton, MA where she attended Match High School and then went off to Westfield State University where she majored in Environmental Science with a minor in City Planning. In 2023, she earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership & Policy from Boston College. Prior to Match, Ms. Moreta worked as an Associate Membership Director at the YMCA. Outside of work, she loves to be outdoors exploring nature and spending time with family.

Collin Redman | Network Facilities Manager

Mr. Redman is originally from and grew up in Trinidad and Tobago. He attended Wentworth University in Boston and studied Facility Management. Prior to Match, he worked for Arbour Hospital. Outside of work, he likes to listen to music, travel, and watch movies.


Cecily Sam I 3rd-6th Math Curriculum and Intervention Specialist

Ms. Sam was a classroom teacher for more than 10 years in both charter and traditional public schools. When teaching in New York City, she helped her school become one of only three Harlem schools in the previous 25 years to win the National Blue Ribbon Award. She then taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades in Ellington, CT and 4th grade math in Hartford, CT. Ms. Sam has led classes to achieve 100% passing scores on the New York State Math exams and has a record of exemplary student scores on the SBAC exams as well. Ms. Sam holds a master’s degree in education and is the mother of 3, including twins.


Janim Sayles I Director of Community Engagement

Ms. Sayles joined the Network Support Team as the Director of Community Engagement in 2021. Prior to Match, she was the Associate Director of Achieve Program, Operations and Placement at Noble and Greenough School. Through her previous roles at Brooke Charter Schools, Harvard University, and Boston Public Schools, Ms. Sayles has worked to help students and families from marginalized backgrounds gain access to meaningful resources and transformative opportunities. A first-generation college graduate, Ms. Sayles received her Bachelor’s degree from Worcester State University and a Master’s in Educational Studies and Nonprofit Leadership from BU’s Wheelock College of Education and Human Development.

Michael Soremekun | IT Manager

Mr. Soremekun was born and raised in Boston. He attended Northeastern University where he majored in Business Management with a concentration in Management Information Systems. He enjoys the unique challenges encountered in the education sector. It is fulfilling to know that he is positively impacting the learning of Match students. Outside of work, he enjoys going on cruises.


Tory Soutiere I Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Soutiere grew up in Southern Maine. She graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She has spent her entire professional career in the nonprofit sector, the majority of which was spent at youth-serving educational organizations and schools; most recently as Director of Finance at The Learning Community Charter School in Central Falls, RI. In her spare time she enjoys learning to play the guitar and exploring the world through the eyes of her young son.


David Steefel-Moore | Managing director of Operations

Mr. Steefel-Moore holds a B.A. from Carleton College and an Ed.M from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Prior to joining Match's Operations team, he worked in a variety of roles related to education reform, public health, and political advocacy, and was a member of Match Corps IX at Match High School.

Ashley Danoff Sweeny | Director of State Reporting and Compliance

Ms. Sweeny graduated from New York University in 2002 with a B.A. in International Relations, Italian, French, and Japanese. She also received an M.A. in Sociology of Education from Boston University in 2004. Ms. Sweeny was a member of Match Corps I at Match High School.

John Taylor I Network Facilities Assistant

Mr. Taylor is originally from South Carolina. He grew up in both Maryland and Boston. Prior to Match, he worked in a variety of fields, gaining valuable experience. In his free time, he enjoys watching documentaries, listening to music, and working with tools.


Dan Turco | Special Education Coordinator

Mr. Turco graduated from Fairfield University and began his life in the classroom as a Fulbright English teacher in Germany. After he returned, he taught special education at Community School 211 in the Bronx, NY as a Teach for America Corps member. While teaching in New York, he received his master's degree from Hunter College in special education. Before coming to Match in 2013, Mr. Turco was a learning specialist at KIPP Academy Middle School.


Nnenna Ude | Executive director

Ms. Ude is a Boston native who attended Boston Latin School and then Dartmouth College. While at Dartmouth, she majored in Psychology and devoted a significant amount of her time to advancing minority recruitment initiatives. Ms. Ude began her work at Match in 2012 as Director of Operations at Match's middle school. Prior to being appointed Executive Director of Match's PreK-12 school in December 2017, Ms. Ude worked as the COO of the full school. She considers it a privilege to be able to serve students and families from her city and is committed to helping Match's students succeed in and out of the classroom.

Additionally, Ms. Ude serves as the unpaid President and CEO of The Match Foundation, Inc.


KATHARINE NEEDHAM VAN WYHE I Chief Schools Officer

Mrs. Van Wyhe is a Massachusetts native. She began her teaching career in New Orleans in 2007 as a part of Teach For America after Hurricane Katrina. After teaching for five years, Mrs. Van Wyhe joined the Match community in 2012 as the Assistant Principal at MCD. She transitioned into the Principal role in 2014 after completing the Lynch Leadership Academy Fellowship at Boston College. She is currently our Chief Schools Officer on our Network Support Team and primarily focuses on leadership development. She is deeply committed to the success of our students, our partnerships with our families, and supporting our staff.

Mrs. Van Wyhe holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University in anthropology, a Master’s degree in Education from the University of New Orleans, and is a certified literacy specialist.

Hannah Waldman I Network Academic Data Manager, PK-5

Ms. Waldman grew up outside of Boston and went to Siena College in Albany, NY where she studied math education. She joined Match as a Match Corp member for which she tutored Algebra and Geometry and was a teaching assistant for Geometry. Ms. Waldman loves to play rugby, travel, and check out different farmer's markets whenever she has some free time.


Ellie Weinstein I Recruitment Manager

Ms. Weinstein grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended college at Indiana University - Bloomington. She studied Early Childhood Education. Prior to Match, she worked in Chicago Public Schools for 8 years as a primary teacher. She enjoys yoga, baking, and Chicago summers.
